Andrew McPhail

Having been responsible for launching the international careers of numerous directors including Alex Proyas (iRobot, Dark City and Gods of Egypt), Alan White (Erskinville Kings) and commercial director, Jeff Darling, Andrew has helmed and worked with some of the world's most innovative and successful production companies. In 2001 he produced the feature film He Died with a Felafel in His Hand directed by Richard Lowenstein.

In 2010 he moved to Tasmania with his family to join Screen Tasmania as the Production and Investment Manager.

Since arriving in Tasmania he has been working with the team at Screen Tasmania to help a local viable screen industry enabling more Tasmanian practitioners to both live and work in their home state.
