AFTRS Media Lab Classroom Resources
MyState is excited to share the recently launched AFTRS Media Lab Resources.
The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) is Australia’s leading screen arts and broadcast school. Recognised globally and listed as one of the world’s top film schools, AFTRS provides education, research and training to the nation’s emerging media talents.
The AFTRS Media Lab team recognised the need for dedicated media arts resources for Australian primary and secondary teachers and students. The outcome is an online portal where school teachers and students have free access a range of media learning resources that aligns with the Australian School Curriculum and is designed to help build core creativity and storytelling capabilities. Downloadable student worksheets, instructional videos and creative challenges are easily accessible through the portal.
AFTRS Media Lab has been designed to provide a combination of structured pathways and mix-and-match options for a wide range of applications and skill levels. The aim is to expand the resource in response to teacher feedback and demand to create a comprehensive K–12 learning experience.
