Kate Fox is a content writer, producer and creator across television and multimedia platforms based in Hobart, Tasmania. This year, she was named as one of Screen Producers Australia’s Ones to Watch, Tasmania’s sole inclusion for 2018.
Growing up in a television industry family and on various sets around Australia, it was a no-brainer for Kate to enter the world of TV and film production.
Kate spent her formative years as a production assistant, researcher and writer for the Seven Network’s Sydney Weekender, and from there, transitioned into news researching and producing, which eventually lead to the publishing industry as a journalist. For over a decade, Kate worked on some of Australia’s leading magazine titles as a writer, sub-editor and editor for Pacific Magazines in Sydney. She has also co-authored two children’s books. Kate has a post-graduate diploma in Communications (Journalism) and is currently finishing her Master of the same subject.
Throughout her career, Kate has worked on short films, television programs, music videos, online content, corporate productions and commercials. In 2014, Kate relocated back to her home town of Hobart where she continues to develop concepts and pilots for new program content. In this aspect, Kate is currently working on an exciting drama / comedy series, having already produced the pilot episode, to be filmed and produced in Tasmania with her production partner Marni Little.
